With over 300 million school aged children in China, the country is currently in huge demand of English teachers from the United States, United Kingdom, or Canada. We are currently looking for the best and most passionate educators who speak English as their native language to teach English in China. China has long been the home to the world's largest education system and places the utmost importance of education in its economic and cultural development. 

Choosing a career in teaching can be very rewarding, but choosing to be an ESL teacher has its own unique attractions. Teaching ESL can be challenging, but for dedicated instructors, the rewards far outweigh the costs. The challenging part is exciting your students about learning to speak, read, and understand English. Having international work experience on your resume can give you a competitive edge in the global job market along with teaching in China also gives you a chance to immerse yourself in one of the most universally useful cultures partnered with the fact that China has risen to be a global power player.

Miray International is establishing itself as a premier recruitment agency, working with over 20 reputable schools, educational organizations and learning centers throughout China. To ensure the integrity of our program the teachers must meet the following requirements:

  • English is your native language

  • A Bachelor’s degree (Bachelor of Arts in Education preferred, but not required)

  • Willing to relocate to China for at least 12 months

  • A valid passport with at least 12 months on it from the date of expiration

Our Procedure:

  1. Fill out our online application

  2. One of our recruiters will contact you to verify the following documents are up to date and ensure you will be eligible for a required visa.

  3. Our recruiter will request copies of your: Resume / CV, College diploma or transcript & Valid Passport.

  4. Schedule a recorded Skype interview with the candidate to discuss per-interview task, and ensure you are the right fit.

  5. We will the forward the recorded Skype interview to our partners in China, they review the footage and choose the candidates that best meet the needs of the students. They will propose an offer which includes a monthly salary and benefits. If you’re happy with a contract, you’re ready to start your new adventure!

  6. Follow-up with both parties. If at any point you feel the school is not treating you well or not upholding their end of the contract, we’ll be there to help. We are available for you to contact at any time during your contract with any questions or advice you need.
